Filmmaking isn’t easy. Great cinematic story telling requires craft and insight and it all starts with the screenplay. The screenplay for a film’s cast & crew can be compared to a music score for an orchestra or an architect’s building plan for a construction team. They all have very strict formats and conventions that they use to convey information to their teams that will execute their blueprint, eventually translating what is on paper into their envisaged form.

The Writers’ Guild of South Africa presents a series of Saturday morning classes for aspirant and beginner screenwriters starting on 15 September 2018

Over the 10 weeks, learners will learn the simple but absolutely essential principles of writing a professional screenplay.
