kasiYouth and Audience Development Programme showcases young talent at the Joburg Film Festival.

The Joburg Film Festival is embarking on a province-wide skills transfer drive for young and aspiring filmmakers. The initiative is part of the festival’s Youth and Audience Development Programme in partnership with the Gauteng Film Commission and is supported by the MultiChoice Group.

The Joburg Film Festival takes place in 19-24 November, 2019. It features 60 expertly curated films from across Africa, its diaspora and the rest of the world screened across10 venues around Joburg, with a hub at Nelson Mandela Square in Sandton.

To be a part of the Youth and Audience Development Programme’s workshops and training, - young filmmakers between the ages of 18 and 25 by creating a 2 - 5 min short film celebrating their neighbourhood with the theme ‘Your Kasi, Your Story’ highlighting what’s special about their Kasi and submit it your Entry form (Click to submit) or at;

YOU COULD WIN A CANON CAMERA KIT
Designed specifically for youth residing in townships across four regions in the province, the programme aims to provide a platform where they can engage with industry professionals and their peers.
