Bottom Line Entertainment, a Richmond, Johannesburg-based television production company producing quality programmes in multiple genres, is currently busy shooting for the television drama series.

In Focus spoke to Executive Producer, Bianca Isaac, on location in a downtown hotel bar in Krugersdorp. 'Getroud met Rugby is a drama series consisting of 26 one hour episodes shot in Afrikaans. We started principal photography on the 29th of September and we will be going through until May 2009, although the shooting is being done in two 'parts', so the first portion will end on the 20th of December, and we will commence shooting again in March 2009.

"It's a big series and, as the title suggests, it's about the lives of rugby players more than the game itself, focusing on their passion for the game as well as their private lives a bit like Footballers Wives in a way."

The Director is Cobus Rossouw, the Producers are Deon Opperman and Paul Berning and the DOP is Trevor Calverly. The series stars a number of well known actors, including Altus Theart, Corine du Toit, Stacey Koma, Marlin Roelfze, Hendrik Pretorius and Hanna Grobler.

"We are shooting on High Definition (HD)" continues Isaac. "We use two Sony EX3 cameras, which was the production company's choice, as HD was not a submission requirement. Lighting is from 20/20, and the postproduction will be done at The Film Factory."

Getroud Met Rugby is scheduled to go on air in April 2009.
