Mediatech Africa is recognized as the signature event for knowledge sharing and learning opportunities with regards to new developments, innovations and trends in the broadcast, film, media and entertainment sectors.

This year Mediatech Africa 2009 will host the Screen Africa Talent and Technology Conference plus a variety of training courses and seminars presented by the InfoComm Academy.

The Screen Africa Talent and Technology Conference is a premier two-day event which covers developing trends in the South African and African broadcast sector. It will also look at 2010 opportunities, new media in Africa, doing business in Africa, film financing, distribution, Internet TV and social media networking, and user-generated content.

The InfoComm Academy will present four 90-minute seminars on the basic elements of AV systems. The Academy, in conjunction with EMS Africa, will also facilitate a forum for interactive, hands-on learning where students can explore the new exam format and work collaboratively while guided by a facilitator.

There will also be ongoing training and presentation sessions on equipment and technology, live sound demos, association meetings and a number of cocktail functions and networking parties throughout the three-day expo.

Mediatech Africa takes place from 10am to 6pm on Thursday 23 July and Friday 24 July, and from 10am to 5pm on Saturday 25 July. For more information go to www.mediatech.co.za or call +27 11 794 2941.
