Film student Christine Epoupa’s first short film He's my man, which was produced under the guidance of Pretoria-base John Wani of South African Great Movies Production has been entered into the African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA), set to take place in Nigeria in March.

The film was written and produced by Epoupa, who is Wani’s first pupil. The 35-minute film was directed by Wani.

“This is a product of great commitment and hard work from our first student and the film compares very well to students films that I've seen,” says Wani.

“Shot on Sony Z7 and edited on Premier pro (CS4), the film will compete in different festivals. It will also be available to broadcasters.”

For 2011, Wani intends to re-shoot his film True Dream and also to produce another film, Slave of Love for an international audience.
