Senior Manager: Legal Advisory and Company Secretariat

Notice is hereby given of the following vacant position available at the Gauteng Film Commission: Senior Manager: Legal Advisory and Company Secretariat

The key responsibilities

To ensure effective support to the achievement of the overall vision and strategic imperatives of the Gauteng Film Commission through providing sound advice on all legal matters, legislative compliance, interpretation of legal decisions and all company secretarial services required.

1 SELECTION CRITERIA

1.1 Education

  • A postgraduate legal qualification

1.2 Experience

  • At least 5 years’ relevant experience
  • Government or statutory experience

2 DUTIES

  • Ensure that the GFC enabling Act is promulgated
  • Ensure that GFC is listed as public entity with the National Treasury
  • Manage the board and board committees
  • Implement service provider agreements
  • Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, policies and procedure
  • Ensure GFC policies and procedures are Audited
  • Develop and effectively manage the budget
  • Provide Legal and strategic support to GFC
  • ensuring that minutes of all shareholders meetings, board meetings and the meetings of any committees of the directors, or of the company’s audit committee, are properly recorded in accordance with this Act
  • ensuring that a copy of the company’s annual financial statements is sent, in accordance with this Act, to every person who is entitled to it
  • Ensure effective performance management

Senior Manager: Marketing and Research

The key responsibilities

To ensure the development and effective implementation of comprehensive Marketing, Communications and Research Plans to support the vision and overall strategic imperatives of the GFC.

1 SELECTION CRITERIA

1.1 Education

  • Appropriate Marketing Degree or Diploma i:e M+4, or
  • Equivalent experience

1.2 Experience

  • At least 3-5 year’s relevant experience

2 DUTIES

  • Development and manage plans in a form of consolidated annual Marketing and Research plan
  • Ensuring that core image values are consolidated and translated into marketable product and portfolios
  • Develop specific branding and positioning concepts in line with the marketing plan
  • Formulate and implement quarterly marketing tactics
  • Provide strategic direction to both Research and Marketing Unit
  • Ensuring compliance with GFC Corporate identity Manual
  • Manage and guide all editorial, photographic and creative content that is channeled out of the organization
  • Ensuring that campaigns are identified and executed in line with the Marketing plan
  • Coordinate data collection, analysis and dissemination
  • Ensure adequate stock keeping of collateral material
  • Effective management of the budget
  • Ensure the establishment and effective management of a location database
  • Ensure the inclusion and support of the PDI’s in all marketing campaigns
  • Ensure effective performance management

Manager: Human Resources

Notice is hereby given of the following vacant position available at the Gauteng Film Commission: Manager: Human Resources

The key responsibilities

To provide strategic and operational Human Resources expertise to the organization, according to functional and business objectives. The key duties of the successful candidate would be to provide leadership, support and expertise in respect of the Human Resources function in order to align Human Resources objectives with the GFC strategic business objectives and manage change that will lead to organizational growth.

1 SELECTION CRITERIA

1.1 Education

  • Appropriate HR Tertiary Qualification

1.2 Experience

  • At least 3-5 year’s relevant HR and Management experience
  • An understanding of Government statutory processes would be an added advantage
  • A valid driver’s licence

2 DUTIES

  • Development and maintenance of HR Strategy, Plans and procedures for GFC
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation such as employment equity, skills development, affirmative action etc
  • Continuous training and development of GFC’s staff
  • Put in place sound performance management system for the organization, including performance contracts and assessment
  • Provide advice on Labour Relations matters affecting the organization
  • Management of Employment Wellness Programmes
  • Ensure HR best practice Implementation within GFC
  • Proficiency in all areas of Industrial Relations
  • Focus on staff well fare and succession planning to minimize staff turnover
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Time management and Planning skills
  • Ensure integrated HR systems are developed, implemented and maintained
