Kagiso Lediga’s new movie Blitz Patrollei (The long arm of the law just got shorter) to come to our sight nationwide today the 10th May 2013 at various recognized cinemas. Blitz Patrollie stars two South African hilarious comedians David Kau as Ace Dikolobe and Joey Rasdien as Rummy Augustine as well as Kagiso Lediga as Ledwaba. The movie will also be screened at the 66th Cannes International Film Festival from the 17th May 2013 at Arcades 2.

Blitz Patrollie is produced by Diprente Productions and directed by Andrew Wessels. Blitz Patrollie follows the adventures of two police officers who have had the misfortune of being stationed in a little known depot in the belly of the Johannesburg CBD. Rummy is bogged down with trying to start a family and an overbearing mother-in-law who just won't move out. The overzealous Ace, on the other hand, can think of nothing better to do in the morning than to put on his "lucky" bulletproof vest and head out to kick some bad guy ass.

Whilst in a poor white neighborhood, trying to solve yet another small-time crime, Rummy and Ace, along with their inept sniper colleagues, accidentally stumble upon a massive drug haul. What ensues is a series of mishaps as the duo encounter some of the city's craftiest crooks in a race against time to catch the bad guys and claim their place in crime fighting glory.

Last year the producers took the film to 65th Cannes International Festival in France to promote and introduce it to the global market. The film's production was made possible by partners; Gauteng Film Commission , National Film & Video Foundation, and the Industrial Development Corporation,.
