The TTWAFH Team is excited be apart of the Maboneng Township Arts Experience, the festival that has been turning homes in townships into gallery spaces for the past 10 years. This year the festival is running adjacent to the Joburg Art Fair. Art goers can pop into the art fair at the Sandton Convention Centre then hop onto a shuttle that will take them to Alexandra Township. Upon arrival, art goers will be met by tour guides that will guide them through the performance stages and 'houses galleries'.

The TTWAFH Exhibition came about when the team, with the aid of the film Man On Ground, travelled to four different xenophobia affected areas in South Africa and screened the film to national and non-national people. These free screenings were followed by facilitated discussions about the film and the people's own experiences of xenophobia in their areas. The communities' personal trials, tribulations and thoughts on the potential solutions to xenophobia are what the documentary comprises of. Alongside the documentary, portraits of the subjects will be on display and the film Man on Ground will be screened. Furthermore, exhibition attendees can add their thoughts and experiences of xenophobia to canvas boards that accompany the documentary.

TTWAFH is an anti-xenophobia, non-governmental project that sprang to life in 2011 as the social justice extension of the film Man on Ground. It was created in order to encourage community dialogue around the issue of xenophobia under the banner "We Are From Here", 'here' being planet earth. The year 2013 has seen us spring into action pushing our solution to the problem, that solution being the Project TTWAFH where we facilitate, engage and encourage communities of people to open up dialogues around the subject of xenophobia.

The implementing partners of Project Tell Them We Are From Here are the International Organisation for Migration (IOM), the Goethe Institut, the Open Society Initiative of Southern Africa (OSISA), Silvertone International and Soho Design Solutions. Together, they have made the project in all its forms (touring film road show and touring exhibition) a possibility.
