The latest in the Gauteng Film Commission's (GFC's) Opportunities in the Film Industry Workshops targets townships in Tshwane, with a mini-programme tailored for young aspirant filmmakers.

The Tshwane Screenings will raise awareness about the business side of the film industry among aspirant youngsters, while sharing skills and knowledge and unlocking opportunities.

The programme is structured to highlight the importance of distribution as a key element in the industry, and designed to spark interest in the film/creative industry as it unpacks the many different opportunities that the industry offers.

The townships targeted are Ga-Rankuwa, Atteridgeville, Mamelodi, Soshanguve and Mabopane, and the next screenings will be at the Zone 1 Community Hall in Ga-Rankuwa at 12:30 on Monday, 29 February.
