Film Finance World Forum 2016


The Gauteng Film Commission (GFC) has partnered with Destiny Media, hosts of the annual Film Finance World Forum, to ensure that emerging filmmakers are able to get first-hand knowledge and insights from leading industry experts on how to build sustainable production companies by producing commercially successful films.

The 3rd annual Film Finance World Forum will be held at Atlas Studios in Milpark, Johannesburg on 10 November.

Other partners include KEU Insurance, Film Finances, Moneypenny, M-Net and other industry stakeholders. Film Event Media and their publication The Callsheet is the media partner.

Film Finance World 2016 features an exciting programme this year, including such topics such as "Knowing when your script and package is ready for financing", "Attaching a winning cast", "How to raise funds from investors", "PR and Marketing strategies", "Tax and BBBEE compliance for DTI rebate claims" and many more. 

Leading industry experts will be speaking, including Jeneen Galbraith and Ryan Hutchinson from Galbraith Rushby Inc, Janine Lloyd from PR Expert, and Bonnie Lee Bouman from BLBC Casting. 

Film Finance World 2016 will also host representatives from broadcasters and financiers, including M-Net and the SABC, to provide insights on commissioning and pre-sale opportunities.

Film Finance World Africa is where the film industry converges to learn, network and exchange knowledge on the latest trends in financing, producing and distributing features and TV content.
